Hire terms & conditions
No alteration or substitution of these terms and conditions shall be valid unless agreed in writing. Any reference to hire goods shall include candelabras, church candle stands, pew bows and foam rose centrepieces and any other items hired by you from us under these terms and conditions.
1. All equipment remains the property of the owners Invitingly Different. At no time shall ownership pass to you. During the period the goods are on hire, the hirer shall be solely responsible for the hired goods and shall be alone responsible for insuring the goods from time of acceptance of goods until return and acceptance of goods back into the possession of the owner. We also require a signed hire contract to confirm that you (the hirer) shall be solely responsible for the goods whilst they are in your possession.
2. The owner shall not be responsible for injury or damage to persons or property howsoever sustained arising from any goods under hire.
3. All items hired will require a 50 % non-refundable deposit at the time of booking (unless you opt to pay the full amount). If the required delivery date is within 3 weeks of placing the order then the full contract price is required to be paid at the time of ordering.
4. Orders will not be accepted until we receive cash payment or your cheque has been cleared in respect to the deposit payment set out above. We reserve the right to withdraw acceptance of your order if the goods requested is not readily available to us and to refund in full, any payment you have made.
5. Shortages and damages to hired goods will be charged at their full replacement value, details of which are available on request and no substitute item(s) will be accepted by Invitingly Different. The owner also reserves the right to charge the hirer loss of profit on the lost future hire of the said goods. The hirer may request in writing the return (and bear the cost thereof) of any damaged goods within 14 days of the hirer being informed in writing of any such damage. Otherwise the said items will be disposed of.
6. If set up by Invitingly Different goods must be available for collection at the delivery address, unless otherwise arranged. All deliveries and collections, including aborted deliveries and collections, will be charged for.
7. Prices are quoted for one days hire only apart from, day of delivery and day of collection. Subsequent days will be charged at a daily rate unless a special agreement has been arranged prior to the event between the owner and the hirer.
8. Hired goods which are damaged beyond repair will be charged to the hirer at full replacement costs.
9. In the event of cancelled booking, a cancellation fee will charged by the owner, at 50% of the value of the order amount if cancelled in writing to the owner within 8 weeks of the event. Final payment is required in full 1 month prior to the event. Please note that if payment is not received within the said terms, we will presume that our services are no longer required and a cancellation fee of 25% of the order amount will be invoiced
10. Any unpaid cancellation charges after 30 days of invoice will be passed to as collections agency who will act on our behalf and charges will be added to your invoice.
11. There may be minor variations between the goods as shown or described in our sales literature and those dispatched to you. Goods dispatched will always be of a comparable or superior quality. We reserve the right to choose an appropriate replacement to your specified colour or size should the necessity arise. However we will endeavour to notify you of such a change whenever possible.
12. We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from wilful damage, abnormal usage conditions, failure to follow our instruction (whether oral or written) misuse, alteration or repair of goods, we shall not be liable for situations of force or majeure where any failure in the performance of any of our obligations is caused by factors outwith our control.
